About PKF
1980’s
PKF has been in the timber business since 1982 and in that time has grown to become, we believe, one of the largest importers of doors in the UK. In that time we have also added a number of timber products to complement the range.
Initially, PKF provided a European marketing service for door manufacturers in Indonesia, then developed an independent customer base with manufacturing partners in a number of countries.
Our original business in external doors expanded to other product ranges in both traditional and contemporary designs and now includes:
Interior Doors, Flooring, Lippings, Stair Case Components, Window boards, Beading & Mouldings.
1990’s
We opened our first regional office in Jakarta, Indonesia which we quickly followed up with a regional office in Beijing, China which allowed us to invest further in manufacturing and raw materials.
2000’s
Both manufacturing and investment were further extended to Vietnam.
Quality control personnel were set up in all regions to enhance our service and perform Pre Delivery Inspections (PDI) on all shipments.
Expanded our presence into Mainland Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
In 2004, we moved into our new UK Head Office.
2010’s
In 2017 business partnerships were set up in Japan to allow us to invest in new technologies within the industry.
‘Japanese technology, European design.’
Also, in 2017 we introduced the laminate door, our first non-timber door.
2018 saw us expand our offering by creating a partnership with the Dutch door manufacturer Xidoor Doorsystems. This collaborative approach and joint vision have brought to fruition the opening of a Xidoor Doorsystems UK office and showroom within the PKF premises. Together we can bring a wealth of new product solutions, technical prowess and manufacturing capacity to the UK.
2020’s
As our timber expertise has developed over the years, PKF has come to provide a comprehensive service which is tailored to meet our large and specialist timber distributor’s requirements.
PKF has a proven track record with customers and manufacturing units alike for successful investment in new products and new technologies.
